Pinkbike has been featuring Vernon Felton's excellent articles on the Wilderness Act's ban on mountain bikes and the organization that is working to change the ban. Definitely worth a read:
More voices equals more power at the negotiating table. Here's how you can get involved:
It didn't take too many tweaks to make this X01 Yeti SB45c something special. We stiffened and lightened up the bike with some Ibis 941 carbon rims on Industry Nine hubs and spokes. A Chris King headset to match the turquoise I9 goodness. RaceFace Next SL carbon cranks, Deity Bladerunner pedals, and a Burgtec stem round it out.
Kyle dropped off the Yonder Journal fleet of AWOLs to be rebuilt for their next adventure. These are some sick off-road touring bikes. Stay tuned for more rad stories and adventures here: http://yonderjournal.com/
We recently brought Cotic Bikes into the Farm. Cotic makes steel hardtail trail bikes with modern geometry and nice tubing. And, they're super reasonably priced. We'll stock the Soul, more of a trail bike that accepts 100-140mm forks, and the BFe which takes up to 160mm forks. Both bikes are 650b, use Reynolds 853 tubing, take a tapered fork, and threaded bottom brackets.
We decided to build the Soul with a decent parts kit. Came out at 24lbs on the nose. Highlights are RockShox SID RCT3 120mm, Shimano XT 11-speed, Easton Haven Carbon cockpit, and DT Swiss XM401 rims laced to 350 hubs.
